Lucie Tiger Roars With New Single
Lucie Tiger’s latest single Done Wonderin’, has just been released before she heads back to the USA.
Lucie wrote the song to describe the moment you stop searching for something better because you know you’ve already found it.
It’s a love song for the modern age and one where the moment in question doesn’t necessarily come in a blaze of glory or fireworks but instead is a little more realistic and down to earth – think Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler from Yellowstone. It’s a love that makes sense and doesn’t leave you wondering what else could be out there.
Like the songs that inspired her, Lucie’s music is recorded live with all musicians together in the studio. Written and performed by Lucie Tiger (acoustic guitar, vocals), Done Wonderin’ features Bob Wray (bass), Brad Kuhn (keys), Will McFarlane (electric guitar), Justin Holder (percussion). Engineered by Colin Lott and produced by John Gifford III.
Released on 8th September 2023, Done Wonderin’ comes out in the same month Lucie Tiger leaves Sydney to work as a singer-songwriter and musician in Muscle Shoals, USA. Lucie’s music has had a great impact in America and she’s had five singles make it onto the MusicRow Country Breakout Chart – the only independent Australia artist to achieve this record in the last two years.
Building a career on her authenticity and determination to create music on her own terms, Lucie Tiger has been called the “reigning queen of modern country rock.” She is fearless in carving out her own path and is known for her songwriting capacity to “pay homage to the iconic sounds of the past while firmly establishing herself as the embodiment of modern country rock.” Lucie will perform at the Muscle Shoals Songwriters Festival for the 2nd year in a row in November 2023.
The last two years has seen Lucie Tiger get some excellent runs on the board. Her song Gasoline won Country Blues Song of the Year 2021 and she’s the only independent Australian artist to have five singles on the MusicRow Country Breakout Chart and four singles in the Top 40 chart in Australia (CountryTown). Lucie’s 2022 album Alabama Highway debuted at #14 on the ARIA Country Albums chart (Australia’s equivalent to the Billboard Country Albums chart) and #10 on the AIR (Australian Independent Record Label) Albums Chart. Lucie’s acoustic album The Memphis Tapes recorded at the legendary Sun Studios, Memphis, debuted at #7 on the AIR Albums Chart.
Lucie Tiger has been featured in Americana Rhythm Magazine (USA), Rhythms Magazine (Australia), CountryTown, Today’s Country Magazine, The Music, Country Music Capital News, Scenestr plus CMT Television and the television program Songwriters Across Australia. Her song Christmas In The South was listed as one of the 10 Best Australian Christmas Songs in 2022 and her songs are regularly in the Top 10 Australian Songwriter Awards 2022, where she’s been industry-nominated twice for the Rudy Brandsma Award for Songwriting Excellence by the ASA.
