A rising star in Canadian country music, Karli June, who has been nominated for many CMA Ontario Awards has released her vibrant new single, “Feel Like Home,” featuring Ryan Langdon.
“Feel Like Home” is an energetic country-pop love song written by Gavin Slate and Karli, and produced by Gavin Slate (Tim Hicks, James Barker Band). It conveys the sentimental story of growing up in a small town, where every street and landmark carries special memories. It all comes down to finding that unique someone who brings back those comforting memories of being in an environment where you feel most like yourself.
“Being a girl from a small town, that location holds a very important place in my heart. This song perfectly expresses the charm of discovering someone who makes you want to return to those well-traveled paths in a small town. It’s a lengthy song that I did. Ryan Langdon’s voice was ideal for the song, and working with him to make it even better was an incredible experience. – June Karli
Ryan Langdon, a former MLB prospect known for his powerful oak-barrel baritone, joins Karli on the summer love ballad. Ryan’s breakthrough EP “Lit in the Sticks” from 2020 included his chart-topping single “Country Like You,” which has remained firmly in the Top 40 on Canadian Country Radio. The EP was an amazing compilation of six thrilling country tracks. Fans of country music continue to appreciate Ryan’s music, which has amassed around 8 million streams.
“As soon as I heard the song “Feel Like Home,” I knew I wanted to participate in this duet. Not only do I think our vocals go incredibly well together, but I also found the songs’ meaning to be really meaningful. My native roots are one of my greatest priorities, so I’ve always looked for people who feel the same way. I am so happy that the world will hear this song because it truly encapsulates what I believe to be the essence of true love. — Langdon Ryan.
