Teddy Swims, a vocal dynamo and songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia, has won over fans all over the globe. Now, in July of 2024, Frontier Touring is happy to deliver his highly awaited return to Australia and New Zealand after two sold-out tours.

Returning to perform at his largest venues to date in Australia, Swims—whose music has been streamed an astounding 2.2 billion times—will be joined by his incredible band Freak Freely for an unbelievable performance. With his skyrocketing single “Lose Control” dominating airwaves and streaming platforms worldwide and reaching #4 on the Billboard Global 200 in 2024, the powerful singer’s ascent continues on its current pace.

According to Swims, who wrote the song about the moment they missed the shot, “I needed to write about the moment we lost our shot in order to help myself make sense of it all these years later.” The song has been a smash hit since its release more than six months ago, reaching #2 on the Billboard charts in the USA last month and #3 in the UK. ‘Lose Control’ peaked at #1 on the Australian Shazam Chart, reached #7 on the ARIA singles charts, and was certified Platinum by ARIA with over 20 million AU Streams in Australia. Not only did it spend eleven weeks atop New Zealand’s radio charts, but it also peaked at number five on the country’s official singles chart and was certified platinum.

The album delves deeply into the artist’s quest of self-discovery. The emotionally charged record, which details Swims’s ups and downs, became an instant hit with listeners. With his deep voice and style that defies genres, Swims never fails to enchant audiences. Showing off his incredible versatility and talent, Swims deftly moves through a wide variety of musical styles, including soul, funk, gospel, and R&B.

According to Teddy, the album comes after four EP releases, and he is now witnessing how others relate to the stories and themes, which makes him realise that the songs aren’t just helping him, but also helping others.

“It feels like the internalisation and back-end work is finally paying off.”

His incredible voice is the unifying factor across genres, from soul to funk to gospel to country to R&B. His early powerful cover songs on YouTube included Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin'” and Shania Twain’s “You’re Still The One.” Songs like “Love For A Minute,” “dose,” “911,” “Bed On Fire,” “Broke” (feat. Grammy-nominated superstar Thomas Rhett), and countless more.
