“Big City Streets” is the third song from Sin City’s upcoming second album, “Another Round,” which is set to be released on April 4th and Country HQ is proud to be able to share it with y’all!!

The band will be joined by Foggy Notion, Matt Bourke & The Delusional Drunks at The Tote in Melbourne on April 6th for the record launch.

In recent years, the country-soul-rock ‘n’ roll renegades Sin City have been tearing up stages all over Europe, New Zealand, and Australia, promoting and touring in support of their excellent first album Welcome To Sin City (2022) and EP Something’s Cookin’. Now they are ready to unveil the new album and their new single , “Big City Streets”—following the releases of “Am I The One You Love” and “Candy”—the latter of which had a video that was broadcast on CMT and Juice TV.

The song captures a genuine rock ‘n’ roll–infused honky tonk saloon shuffle that leads into a heady sing-along chorus. It was recorded last year on analogue reel to reel tape at Sound Recordings in Campbells Creek, VIC. The song is about relocating from a small town to a big city, according to singer Nick Armstrong. In particular, it was prompted by my own experience of relocating to London from Auckland at the age of twenty.

“Musically, it draws heavily on my country and western influences such as Gram Parsons and Buck Owens, with a harder rock and roll edge inspired by the likes of Bruce Springsteen or The Rolling Stones (think ‘Far Away Eyes’, ‘Sweet Virginia’),” explains Nick. “When we played it with the band we played around with a nice interplay between Jack and Chris’s country-style picking, which gives the song that feeling of longing for your small hometown.”

Listeners in Australia can get their hands on “Big City Streets” immediately digitally via Bandcamp and their favourite streaming services.
